Wulfrun Warblers
Singing for Health & Wellbeing in and around Wolverhampton
& the Black Country
The Wulfrun Warblers Choir is a small community choir which began as a singing for fun group several years ago. It is suitable for anyone who enjoys singing and who would like come and sing for the pleasure of it, and enjoys a bit of a challenge!
During the sessions we sing a variety of songs, including seasonal favourites, songs and chants from around the world, numbers from the musicals and popular songs from over the last 100 years! We sing in unison and also in parts - three vocal parts at the moment but hopefully this will expand as the group grows. We work with the voice holistically, and there are breathing and warm up exercises to develop and use the voice safely.
We perform regularly in public, going out into the community and singing in various venues such as day centres, nursing homes, cafes and shops, as well as working with other groups. Everyone works hard during the sessions, but has fun and leaves with a smile!
